Read Up Before You “Go With The Flow” to get vaccinated
I have not felt comfortable with the Swine Flu Vaccine since the beginning of the swine flu pandemic. It seems that the government has seriously overestimated the scope of the problem. Though the swine flu spreads fast and has circulated worldwide (making it a true pandemic), it has proven less dangerous than than seasonal flu.
But in so hyping this problem and trying to get prepared fast, we’ve purchased billions of dollars worth of vaccines from pharmaceutical companies with a no liability agreement (which leaves Americans vulnerable with no recourse for injury). We’ve pushed them to fast-track the vaccine, but it is not tested sufficiently and some initial problems are being ignored.
So do we really need this vaccine? Most reported swine flu deaths are a result of secondary infections in people with other health issues. Nevertheless, the vaccine is still being highly encouraged, even to high risk groups (especially to high risk groups, because they are at the greatest risk of dying from influenza; it does make sense in that regard).
One problem I see is a weak system of reporting side effects of vaccines. It’s hard to directly trace health issues to a vaccine unless they are severe and happen to a significant amount of people. Many doctors tend to dismiss side effects as not being related to the vaccine and don’t report them. If side effects happen over a long period of time, it’s even harder to trace them back to a vaccine.
There is plenty of pro-vaccine information and talk in the media and in conventional medicine. This is a very controversial topic, so I am listing various articles with more lesser heard information to help you come to your own conclusion.

Also mentioned in some of these articles are ways to stay healthy naturally. Nature offers potent antiviral compounds, that have performed as well or better than antibiotics, such as oregano oil and good, old, humble garlic. Elderberry extract has also been shown in clinical studies to cut duration and severity of flu by 75%.
These are the things I will personally be using in my family instead of the swine flu vaccine. For more information on natural treatments for flu, see my post Top Ten Things to Do When Your Child Might Have the Swine Flu.
