All the books, products and natural medicine I discuss on my website I have purchased with my own money, and used long enough (years usually) to have developed a strong opinion. I recommend the things I love best based on my personal repeated experience and use. If I ever do receive something for free to review, I will be sure to state that in my writing. Any commissions made from items purchased through this site are passed on along to one of my Causes.

Allrecipes.com – My favorite online recipe resource. I can look up recipes by the food I have or by ratings, and read what other people’s experiences have been with those recipes. It’s nice to know that 300 different people have rated something 5 stars before I try it.

My Causes

Shropshire Music Foundation – Liz Shropshire, a music graduate fresh out of college, went to Kosovo in the late 90’s to help war refugees. She ended up teaching them music. She saw how music changed  people there and how it influenced  the youth for good. Since then her organization has taught more than 10,000 youth not only in Kosovo, but also in war-torn Uganda and Northern Ireland. These youth learn through music that they can bring healing, hope, and peace to their communities. Is there a better way to teach peace? Her video makes me weep and want to go help her. Check it out.

Los Ninos Orphanage in Guatemala - A young girl named Mandy from Cedar City along with a young man from Guatemala started this orphanage to save abandoned babies. Mandy found a baby herself on the side of the road. Now the orphanage services children of all ages. Mandy had 2 businessmen paying all the expenses, but they both cut their funding summer of ‘09 because of the poor economy. Now she and the young man from Guatemala work full time and send their wages to the orphanage. If some of us who are so blessed, donate a little each month, this would ease their burden so much and keep the orphanage doors accepting more children.
